Iqbal: A Novel

When Iqbal is sold into slavery at a carpet factory, his arrival changes everything for the other overworked and abused children there.  It is Iqbal that explains to them that despite their master's promises, he plans on keeping them as their slaves indefinitely.  But it is also Iqbal that inspires the other children to look for a future free from toil...and is brave enough to show them how to get there.

  7. I really think it is a great book, it is interesting and cause with every chapter you read you want to read even more it basically really reals you in likeb a fishing net! This book is about a boy named iqbal. Iqbal is a boy from pakistan he has to pay a fine but his family is poor so he can't pay it so he is sent5 to a sweatshop, and has to work for 3 months as he is there he tells all the other kids that they will never ever leave that its just a trick.... all the other kids think he is crazy but a little girl gets very concerned this little girlsname is Ftima. As time goes by everyone finds out that he is a vry special kind of boy. He is special 'cause he can make a very rare carpet that only a very few people can make. So what im trying to say is that if you get a chance to read this book you should take a look at it cause trust me you wont be Sorry.

  10. Iqbal is a very inspirational story, hearing Iqbals story shows just how much one small child can achieve. If more children thought the way Iqbal did we would have a very bright future lead by caring individuals.
